First Day On The Job!

Okay, so, who has two thumbs and has a job in the animation industry? *Points to myself* This guy! Right here! Last month I did an animation test for  a studio and on the 18th I had an interview. A few days later I received word that I got in and got settled in my new apartment two days ago. The studio is really really cool and the show I'm working on is really cool as well. For legal reasons I'm not allowed to say what I'm working on but, am I hearing an echo? It's really cool!

To avoid making another one of my long posts I'm gonna breakdown what's happened in miscellaneous over the last four months. I graduated college in 2D animation, I recorded all the bass parts for Indifference's first album and a possible EP, I almost worked on my solo album but decided to put it on the back burner, I'm halfway through recording covering Echo and the Bunnymen's third album Porcupine, my mother is getting positive results on her treatments, and today ends the 95th day of February in Eastern Canada, it's actually warm and NOT snowing out.

Alright, let's make some cartoons!

I used to be a conformist, just like everyone else on the internet, but then I took a broadsword in the gut.

I studied Digital Animation at the Truro Nova Scotia Community College Class of 2011-2013 and returned again in the winter of 2015 and is currently employed as a clean-up animator at Cartoon Conrad.

I don't look at animation as just fiddling with cartoons, I look at it in a way that entertainment is a necessity of mental health. People need to be entertained in the world otherwise it's a dull and dreary place. As an animator in training, I have to keep an open mind, and I've accept the fact that at some point in my career I'm probably going to work on a children's TV show at some point, which is fine.

Here's a list of my favorite cartoons
:bulletblue: Adventure Time
:bulletblue: Archer
:bulletblue: Arthur
:bulletblue: Avatar: The Last Airbender
:bulletblue: Courage The Cowardly Dog
:bulletblue: Dan Vs.
:bulletblue: Fugget About It
:bulletblue: Gravity Falls
:bulletblue: Inuyasha
:bulletblue: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
:bulletblue: Regular Show
:bulletblue: The Boondocks
:bulletblue: The Magic School Bus
:bulletblue: The Raccoons
:bulletblue: The Ripping Friends
:bulletblue: Tom and Jerry Tales
:bulletblue: Undergrads
:bulletblue: What's With Andy?

I have watched the shit out of and eventually got sick and tired of cartoons from the 1980s, please recommend me some cartoons from the 1990s to watch

They are simply awesome games. Twilight Princess is a good contender for the race to be the best Zelda game for me, but Ocarina of Time was my very FIRST Zelda game on the N64.
Since you are a fan, I dug through my gallery, figured you might like these:

Majora's Moon by TarriPup Majora's Mask MLP by TarriPup Dawn of Doomsday - 0 Hours Remaining by TarriPup
Not only are they all of the Moon from Majora's Mask, but they span a fair amount of time regarding my artistic progress! The first I drew completely on MS Paint. The second I turned the Guardians of Termina into giant ponies, because I can.
And the third, well... I drew because that Moon looks just so darn gosh chuffed. =P

I once did a little one-panel comic quite some time ago to which is to do with Ocarina of Time...

They mean business by TarriPup
My ability to draw business scrubs back then sucked. xD

Not bad ;) Ocarina was my first too, but I liked MM better because it was darker and more colorful. I felt OoT had too much green, blue and grey in it. And i liked how I could go back and do everything again, main storyline, boss fights, side quests, etc

Hmm... won't thank you for the fav, but did want to mention I have more MLP artwork you might like.

So instead I'll ask; how'd you get into playing the bass guitar?  And how long have you been at it? :)

I started playing bass because I was fired from my first band for being a shitty lead singer and a control freak, lol, but they said I could come back if I chose different role, my father was a bass player for 40+ years so I decided to give the bass a shot, best decision of my life! :) Couldn't picture playing a better instrument. That was back in 2007 so about 7ish years. I've been playing the 6-string bass for 3 years.
